Hands taste good!

Natali's latest thing is to chew/suck on her hands - a lot! She doesn't suck on her thumb - oh no - she puts her fist or a few fingers in her mouth and goes to town. :) I try and try to put the pacifier in instead of the hand but she spits it out usually and enjoys her fingers. Oh well. I will keep trying but she defenitely has her opinion on this and she usually wins so....... here is a pic of Natali making her fingers wrinkly.

Heads up!!

This is Natali doing her latest tummy time. :) She is holding her head up pretty good as long as she doesn't get frustrated - then she lays down and starts crying. We are trying to do this more often so she will get better. Practice makes perfect right?

Happy Hippo

This is Natali enjoying time on the Happy Hippo. Also, she went through a phase of about a week when anytime someone whistled, she would smile. It could be right in front of her or from across the room. I am pretty sure in this picture, I was whistling. This is one of my favorite pictures just because of the way she is smiling. :)

12 POUNDS!!!!!

Yes, our baby girl is 12 pounds now. I weighed her at work on Tuesday and I was quite amazed. We knew she was getting bigger and heavier, but I was thinking like 10 1/2 or something. Anyways. I have retired some of her onesies and some more are starting to be snug. Tomorrow is Natali's 3 month birthday - a quarter of a year!! It has been an unbelievable ride with the new addition to the Edinger family. What will the next 3 months hold? :) .......

Changing table

It is so funny to me that a baby can get so happy on a changing table. Natali almost always starts smiling and "talking" when she is layed down on it - unless she is hungry of course. Then you just go as fast as you can and get down to the business of feeding. :) But I have started keeping my camera on the changing table some days because there are so many opportunities for cute photos. So here are a few.......

Time flies...

when you are having fun. :0) I can't believe it has been almost 2 weeks since I last posted on here. I started back to work last Wednesday - I am working just a few days a week - between 15 and 20 hours or so. I am glad to get back to what I love! And it gives me a chance to have "adult interaction". Natali seems to be doing okay with the change. Josh watches her some days and Josh's mom (and dad sometimes) watches her one day a week. I am so thankful we are able to work this out and I can work.
I will be trying to get some pictures up on here either later tonight or tomorrow. Natali is changing so much - she is so responsive, she "talks", and she sure can follow your movements. Well, off to do something else while Natali is sleeping!!

Update

Well, Natali had her 2 month check up and the doctor says she looks good! She weighs 9 pounds 11 ounces and is 22 inches long. Natali got 4 vaccinations - 1 oral and 3 injections. She cried on the first shot but then seemed to be okay for the others. :) She got 3 pink camoflauge bandaids on her thighs. I don't think they made it feel much better though.

Natali is pretty much on a schedule now and sleeps about 6-7 hours at night which we are very thankful for. Not too much else new going on. We are just enjoying the changes in Natali and her smiles!

Happy time....

in the swing!! Natali was in her swing on Saturday and I went over to watch her for a little while and I saw her smile really big. I went to go get the camera, came back, and she kept smiling for maybe 5 or 6 times. I was talking to her in the baby kind of way the whole time trying to keep her smiling. She loved it! So these are a few of the photos I took - could have gotten a few more if my camera was faster. :) I don't have one of those cool cameras that lets you take a whole lot of pictures in a few seconds. That's okay - these will do and I know there will be lots more smiles to catch!!!!

So we catch Natali doing this sometimes - is she really thinking about rolling over?? Who knows what she is really thinking or doing, but it makes for a good picture. :)

New Things Every Day

Well the little girl is doing something new just about every day it seems. Lately she has been smiling alot and also pushing herself up. Christina can talk to her and Natali just loves it, she will watch her and try really hard to understand what mom is telling her, then she will just put a happy face on and just enjoy listening to mom dote on her, it's easy to do, look at that cute smile!

When I have been holding her lately, she will get in just the right position and push herself up with her arms and hold her head and upper body out away from me for just a few seconds, grunting and carrying on as if it was the hardest task in the entire world, then she will let her little self crash down back into my shoulder when she can hold herself up no longer. It's so exciting to see the new things every day. -Josh

A visit

So Aunt Rebecca came to visit for a week and stayed at our home. We had a wonderful time and had some precious moments between her and Natali. I had a great time watching them together and am so glad for the time Rebecca was here.

Sleeping

Natali loves to sleep in her swing and in this funny position. We will often find her in the morning in the position shown but with her blanket wrapped around her belly if she was swaddled the night before. So funny. But this picture she was just happy on a blanket on the floor one day.

Bath time

So I decided to entertain everyone with some bath time photos. The first couple times Natali didn't like to get a bath, but since has decided it is not so bad. She actually seems to enjoy it and sometimes cries when we take her out of her seat. So much fun bath time is!!!
